Edgar Miranda has been named principal of the International Community School in Decatur, a charter school in DeKalb County for grades K–5.
Miranda has more than 30 years of experience as a teacher and educational administrator. Most recently, he has been principal of Anglo-American School of Sofia, Bulgaria. He was a principal in Rochester (N.Y.) City School District and Hempstead (N.Y.) Union Free School District. His background also includes serving as director of The Xerox Center for Multicultural Education, SUNY Geneseo, N.Y., and director of bilingual education for Rochester (N.Y.) School District.
